 EPS Pasteurization Systems with Plate Heat Exchangers
 This series of pasteurizers include our EPS90, the MOST POWERFUL pasteurizer
 in the world with a capacity to process 20,000 kg/hr of whole egg and egg
 whites products.
Our pasteurization systems are the safest and most efficient
 in the market. All our systems include features that guarantee that every
 particle of product will always be pasteurized and that no raw product will
 enter the pasteurized product section of the system. Our special double-wall
 regeneration section is designed to operate without the need for low
 efficiency water-egg-water systems or pressure differential controls.
Our
 holding tube design reduces the product loss during transitions and guarantee
 the proper holding time at the right temperature always. Non-sloped holding
 tubes used in pasteurization systems increase the amount of product that
 mixes with water during transition and can reduce the holding time due to
 air-pockets trapped within it.
For each system we offer options such as
 homogenizers (shear or high pressure), PLC with touch screen interface,
 pressure differential controls and single or dual divert valve assemblies.
 All our systems include USDA/3A approved insulated/sloped holing tubes
 available from 2.5 to 5.0 minutes, depending on the time-temperature
 combination for the expected Log reduction.
 EPST Pasteurization Systems with Tubular Heat Exchangers
 These skid-mounted systems are designed to process specialty egg products
 where pieces of non-soluble ingredients have been added like diced onions,
 peppers, etc. for value added products. Our series of tubular pasteurizers
 are available in a wide range of capacities from 500 to 10,000 liters per hour.
 They can also process standard egg products, but the energy transfer is not
 as efficient as pasteurizers with plate heat exchangers. We use a unique
 heat exchanger with spiral corrugations that maximize turbulence inside the
 heat exchanger for higher heat transfer efficiency. Depending on the
 application, our pasteurizers use a combination of dual-tube, triple tube or
 multi tube options.
 For each system we offer options such as homogenizers (shear or high
 pressure), PLC with touch screen interface, pressure differential controls
 and single or dual divert valve assemblies. All our systems include USDA/3A
 approved insulated and sloped holing tubes available from 2.5 to 5.0 minutes,
 depending on the time-temperature combination for the expected Log
 reduction.
 Plate Heat Exchanger with Hydraulic Closer
 On our large capacity plate heat exchangers we offer an option for a hydraulic
 closer. This system relies on 2 or 4 hydraulic rams that open and close the
 plate heat exchanger in less than 3 minutes. The use of hydraulic rams instead
 of high wear screws rotated by hydraulic motors reduces both the time to
 open and close the system and the maintenance costs. The hydraulic rams
 feature adjustable locks that allow the heat exchanger to remain closed
 without pressure in the lines.
 Based on the type of products to be pasteurized we have two different
 models: Pasteurizers for plain products and Pasteurizers for high viscosity
 products (10-12% salted yolks, 50% sugar yolks, etc.) The main difference
 is in the streaming of the plate heat exchanger and the amount and location
 of positive displacement pumps.
 Diamond Pasteurizers are designed to safely and efficiently
 pasteurize egg products. Our high temperature Plate Heat Exchanger
 designs allow for high temperature (65ºC-69ºC+) pasteurization for
 extended periods of time to maximize shelf life and reduce processing costs.
 All our pasteurization systems are pre-fabricated and skid mounted for a quick
 and easy installation. All sanitary welding is done under controlled conditions
 in our factory, with a minimum amount of work required to connect the
 system to the product inlet and outlet and utility connections.
 Compact Systems
 Several Years ago we introduced the “Breaker in a Box Concept” and since
 then we have further developed the concept of pre-fabricated processing
 plants.
The “Compact System” consists in a completely integrated system to
 process eggs into whole egg products. The system incorporates a breaking
 machine, filtration system, pasteurizer and a semi-automatic packaging
 system. It also includes a steam boiler, glycol chiller and air compressor.
 Ready for operation within 24 hours after arrival at the customers building.
 The systems can later be re-configured and turned into a standard egg
 breaking plant for separated products. The filtration and packaging systems
 can be detached and integrated into the future filtration and cooling system
 and into the packaging room respectively.
 Log Reduction
 To determine the time and temperature at which each product should be
 processed, we use the “Thermal Destruction Charts”, specific for each product
 This type of chart shows the Log reduction at different time and temperature
 combinations.
 By changing the temperature we can achieve the same Log reduction with
 different holding times and vice versa. It is important to know the bacterial
 load of the product to be pasteurized to be able to select the treatment that
 will guarantee product safety with the least amount of damage to the egg
 product. This technology allows us to design the pasteurizer with the highes
 Log reduction to achieve the longest shell life possible.
