Grader add ons
There is a lot of additional equipment that can be added to existing Diamond graders. All of the equipment below is available for the the INNOVA line of graders, while some of them are available for the 2100, 8200, 8300, and 8400 series egg graders.  | AP Packer and basket conveyor updates - Additional packing lanes and basket conveyor sections can be added to most of the Diamond brand grading systems. The AP packer is a totally variable speed system, where every major feature and component functions only as fast as necessary. Each packer automatically speeds up or slows down based on egg flow to that packer. A new generation denester, dater, egg release and carton closer all operate based on egg volume on the same variable speed concept. The AP packer operates up to 80 cases per hour when required, gently packing 30,000 eggs per hour into trays or cartons. Removable clamp plates and rear access door provides fast change over from one package to another, and sharp denester fingers guarantee positive denesting for most cartons and trays. The 80 cph denester operates at half the speed of conventional denesters because it utilizes two strokes of the packer index. The variable speed features of the denester allow it to operate only as fast as the incoming egg volume. The servo packer has two chains to transport the cartons and trays. Rugged adjustable side guides control the plastic and lightweight cartons at higher speeds based on exact carton widths that vary between designs. A smooth variable speed index combined with a controlled egg release gently positions and packs the eggs. After the eggs are packed, egg printing, carton closing, top dating and labeling are all operating with the servo packer index. The variable speed feature is gentle on the eggs, reduces maintenance on the equipment and extends the life of all the components. A new generation carton closer handles all popular 2x6 and 3x6 packages without stopping to adjust the closer. The 2 chain index travels through the carton closer without the carton carrier chain contacting the closing mechanism at any time. This eliminates potential jams and damaged packer parts. |
 | Dolco 36 Denester update - The Dolco 36 egg denester can be ordered with a new AP packing lane, or can be retrofitted to any existing AP series dual pusher chain packer. The update consists of the new denester, updated pusher chains, a modified restructured closer mechanism and updated packer software. Once this update is installed, change over time between the standard denester and the Dolco denester can be done in typical break or lunch period. With the addition of a Diamond Multicaser™, the Dolco 36 Egg Cartons can be packed directly into full and half cases. |
 | Dolco 24 Egg Denester update - The Dolco 24 egg denester can be ordered with a new AP packing lane, or can be retrofitted to any existing AP series packer. Once this update is installed, you can run all of the material that you normally could with the standard US denester, but can now also run the Dolco 24 egg carton. With the addition of a Diamond Multicaser™, the Dolco 24 Egg Cartons can be packed directly into full and half cases |
 | Egg Imprinters - Diamond egg imprinters can be used to stamp special messages onto eggs before the cartons are closed on the reservoirs. Several different stamps are available and new ones can be created by customer request. |
 | Multicaser - The new generation Multicaser™ handles plastic baskets and corrugated boxes and is capable of packing 12 and 18 egg cartons and 30 egg trays into all popular shipping containers. The Multicaser™ represents a significant reduction in labor and reduces repetitive fatigue from a manual operation, and can be positioned behind any Diamond egg grading system with AP series packing lanes. Each unit operates at a separate speed and keeps up with the individual packer and egg flow. Cartons and trays are transfered from the packer conveyor and placed inside the plastic basket or corrugated case. The reservoir of empty baskets or cases are waiting prior to being loaded by the Multicaser™. The baskets and boxes are automatically indexed onto the full case conveyor. An optional automatic taping system seals the top and bottom of the corrugated 15, 24 and 30 dozen cases as they exit the Diamond egg grading system. The Multicaser™ continues to be a major step forward in reducing labor and improving the quality of the finished product with gentle, consistent packing in the egg grading operation. |
 | Tray Stackers - The Diamond stacker saves labor and gently stacks 30 egg plastic and paper trays six tiers high. These units can be used on all Diamond Farmpackers as well as AP packers. The addition of a stacker is a great cost savings in labor. |
 | Manual Packing lanes - Manual packing lanes can be added to any egg grader, and are basically a conveyor table to carry eggs away from the backet conveyor. The eggs can then be loaded by hand into cartons or trays. This is an inexpensive option that works great in lower volume applications. |
