A carton splitter has been developed by Diamond to automatically
cut a dozen egg carton into a twin 6 pack after loading and closing.
The splitter is mounted on the carton take away conveyor after
labeling. This eliminates manual separation of the pack, saving labor
and possible egg breakage. It automates this operation whether the
cartons are going directly to a Multicaser™ or being manually loaded
into corrugated boxes.
