The highest capacity Innova will operate over 505 cases per hour, according to Rick Litman, Vice
President of Engineering. It will basically take the same space as the Diamond 8400 Litman said.
The system is 18 rows wide and includes all the new features of the 12 row Innova also being
introduced at IPE in Atlanta. The egg washer and dryer are actually running slower than the old
8400 Rick pointed out. With all of our experience operating 12 rows at 400 that is equivalent to
600 cph using 18 rows. We are very enthusiastic about the Innova series and actually slowing down
the entire infeed to 505 on an 18 row platform. This new generation will give the industry an
opportunity to decrease running hours in their grading facility or eliminate a second shift. Inline
operations can re-equip their production facilities with fewer birds per cage yet increase the total
number without adding poultry houses. This higher capacity will provide the option to send a larger
amount of eggs directly to a Diamond Egg Breaker. With automatic case packers on an inline
operation the Innova operating over 500cph might not take any more labor than the 8400 and no
additional clean up time either. That's a net reduction in cases per man hour and cost per dozen.
With the new features, washdown infeed, electronics, digital scales, software and gentle transfers
are significant advancement for the industry. |
